Manta Point on the South Ari Atol of the Maldives is a favourite cleaniing station for these graceful and impressive creatures. They circle patiently as scores of fishes attend to the removal of parasites from their mouths and gills. They are always accompanied by Remors, fishes with a sucker on their head so that they can attach themselves to the Manta Ray and hitch a ride.
